External Affairs Manager
About The Role
For an important international Oil Company we are currently looking for a Government Affairs & Public Relations Manager to work in Mexico City. If youre passionate and deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges you could be the perfect fit for this role.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Communications Public Relations or related field.
Desired Masters degree or Diploma.
At least 8 years of expertise working in external/government affairs public relations ideally in the Oil&Gas industry.
Extensive experience in creating and implementing public relations marketing and communication strategies.
At least 8 years of experience maintaining strategic business partnerships with government agencies and professional associations related to the Oil & Gas industry.
Vast experience offering strategic guidance for developing procedures and practices that ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and corporate policies.
What you will do:
Manage content creation and editorial calendar for Company media outlets and key events including researching developing writing and editing across mediums message development and message management.
Effectively lead and support communication strategies with key audiences and stakeholders.
Coordinate with communications team other areas and external partners to ensure consistency of communications and public affairs strategies to all key audiences.
Initiate maintain build and strengthen relationships with key contacts in media community government and other O&G companies through communications programs that protect and enhance our brand engage and influence stakeholders and prevent and remove barriers.
Provide subject matter expertise content and coaching to the leadership team to serve as effective spokespeople provide support and guidance for managing incident and crisis response.
Contributing with the design of marketing materials such as brochures and advertising campaigns.
Coordinates event to enhance market impact.
Investigate the market and identify opportunities for expanding business reach.
Responsible to manage companys website information update social media accounts.
Build communications messages and select communications topics focus on communication concepts and plans.
Develop department budgeting.
Enhance the organizations public image and brand.
