Job Description

What youll be doing

  • Lead & support automation projects during planning execution and commissioning phases.
  • Manage project activities to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders such as operations maintenance procurement contractors engineering firms and regulatory agencies.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems including panels drives PLCs HMIs and automated controls.
  • Safeguard and maintain electrical control engineering documentation PLC/HMI software backups and drive parameters.
  • Manage and update engineering software on controls and drives.
  • Prepare and present project reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee technical content for procedures and control programming during OEM training.
  • Maintain and optimize plant automation systems including ASRS conveyor control and industrial robotics.
  • Design and update electrical schematics in AutoCAD for equipment modifications.
  • Provide technical training & support for plant maintenance teams.
  • Solve real-world technical challenges from single machines to full production lines and greenfield facilities.

What were looking for

  • Proven track record of delivering automation projects on time and on budget.
  • 12 years experience in automation engineering or project management in manufacturing.
  • Degree/diploma in Electrical/Controls Engineering Industrial Automation Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley Siemens Mitsubishi Omron) SCADA/HMI robotics drives automated conveyors and industrial networks.
  • Ability to read and program PLC code configure drives and interpret electrical/pneumatic drawings.
  • Proactive problem solver with a high sense of ownership.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management tools (MS Suite).
  • Willingness to travel and work independently on-site.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP Profibus Profinet).
  • Experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
