This position is located in DOTDs Headquarters (HQ) HR Office works under the direct supervision of the Compensation and Staffing Assistant Manager (HR Manager A) and serves as the Staffing Operations Supervisor. The primary function of this position is to directly supervise HQ staffing functions which includes the oversight of the Recruitment Staffing Student and Immigration programs (two HR Specialists) and to provide expert assistance to District HR Unit Manager. The incumbent focuses on Louisiana Job System and LaGov HCM entries; staffing operations; providing assistance to HR HQ and District Managers and HR Analysts/Specialists supervisors managers and appointing authorities; increasing the effectiveness of assigned programs; ensuring implementation of improvement plans and systematically evaluating results; and recommending improvements when needed.

Job Duties:
The incumbent must be competent in multi-tasking and accommodating changes in law governing rules and regulations to successfully meet a wide variety of deadlines while also respecting the need for confidentiality/sensitivity associated with employee information and the consequence of financial errors some potentially resulting in financial penalties. The incumbent of this position is required to possess knowledge of the related systems and their reporting capabilities Civil Service rules and regulations and DOTD policies and procedures. Highly developed customer service analytical and written and oral communication skills are necessary.
