Are you a fluent Russian speaker with advanced English skills looking for a meaningful remote career in Portugal We are seeking a dedicated Remote Russian-Speaking Translator to join our team. This is a full-time remote position and you must be a resident of Portugal to be considered. You will play a vital role in bridging communication gaps helping people connect across language barriers in crucial moments.
The Project and Your Role
You will be an integral part of a team providing on-demand language services for a leading global language solutions company. Your main mission is to translate and interpret conversations in real time serving as the crucial link for people communicating across language barriers in a variety of industries including healthcare finance and legal services. We provide comprehensive paid training to ensure your success so prior experience is not required.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Real-time Interpretation: You will answer incoming calls and provide high-quality real-time interpretation between Russian and English. This requires quick thinking and a professional demeanor.
- Maintain Accuracy and Confidentiality: You will accurately convey information while strictly adhering to confidentiality protocols. Your integrity is key to building and maintaining trust with all parties.
- Professional Communication: You will manage the flow of conversations professionally and calmly ensuring clear and effective communication for all parties involved even in high-stress situations.
- Quality Assurance: You will maintain the highest standards of quality in your translations taking care to use appropriate terminology and cultural context.
What Were Looking For
We are seeking a talented communicator who is adaptable resilient and professional.
- Fluent Russian: You must have native-level or C2 proficiency in Russian (written and spoken) to ensure precise and clear translations.
- Advanced English: You need at least a C1 level of English to handle complex conversations and communicate with clients effectively.
- Strong Communication Skills: You should be an excellent listener with a clear professional and empathetic speaking voice.
- Adaptability: The ability to think quickly and adjust your translation style to different situations and industries is essential.
- Resilience: You should be able to handle sensitive and challenging conversations with composure and empathy.
- Tech Savvy: You will be supplied with all the necessary equipment but you must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet professional workspace to perform your duties remotely.
