Our team plays a crucial role in keeping Aotearoa connected and were looking for a National Health and Safety Manager who can help us keep our people safe every step of the way.

About The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of New Zealand Couriers the newly created role of National Health and Safety Manager can make a significant positive this role youll be responsible for developing implementing and continually improving health and safety practices across our operations. Youll foster a strong safety culture collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and make sure were not just compliant but leading by example.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement health and safety strategies and initiatives for a line led system
Provide expert guidance and support to supervisors and team members to enable them to manage health and safety effectively
Identify workplace hazards oversee incident investigations and drive implementation of controls to reduce future risk
Deliver training and raise awareness to promote a strong health and safety culture across the business
Monitor and report health and safety performance to aid in decision-making and drive ongoing improvement
Ensure ongoing compliance with legislation regulations and industry standards
Manage relationships with regulators health and safety committees and external stakeholders

About You
Were looking for someone who:

  • Has significant health and safety experience (5 years) preferably in transport logistics or industrial environments. We are a multi-site environment operating 24 hours 6 days a week
  • Is passionate about keeping people safe and healthy at work
  • Has a strong understanding of health and safety legislation codes of practice and industry standards
  • Demonstrates a collaborative and adaptable approach able to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Is a clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Holds relevant health and safety qualifications (such as NEBOSH NZISM or related certifications)
