Job Description
6-month Contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- This is a six-month research and engagement role in which you ll be working closely with the Inclusive team to promote a positive workplace culture - particularly focusing on community engagement and research around inclusive recruitment. The role will provide an opportunity for you to explore areas of the Council you may be interested in working in and gain knowledge and experience that could help shape your longer-term career opportunities.
- Working to build trust mutual respect and understanding with staff and local communities
- Supporting work to develop inclusive recruitment processes and practices
- Sharing learning from observations research and engagement to help build insights into developing a more inclusive culture
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Establishing good working relationships both internally and externally and providing excellent customer service
- Compliance with the Authority s Policies and Procedures and to make known to Senior Officers any areas which are not adequately covered
- Taking actions that support the collective commitment to diversity equity and inclusion
- Responsibility for the application of Health & Safety practices and risk assessments within the daily operations
- Providing necessary information relating to personnel administrative and payroll purposes
- Undertaking any other reasonable task commensurate with your grade as determined by your Line Manager or Head of Service
Essential Experience Required
- Proven experience in undertaking research across the organization and externally to identify good practice and areas of improvement that will contribute to the delivery of the Inclusive Plan
Essential Qualification Required
- Educated to Level 5 of the Qualification Framework within a relevant discipline or equivalent equality and inclusion working or lived experience

- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: Conway Road Colwyn Bay Conwy County Borough LL297AZ United Kingdom
