You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Senior Lifting Equipment Engineer is responsible for overseeing the inspection operation maintenance and certification of all lifting equipment in accordance with local regulations international standards and company policies. The role ensures safe efficient and compliant lifting operations across projects.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Oversee daily operation and maintenance activities for cranes hoists forklifts and other lifting equipment.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are implemented and adhered to.
Conduct fault diagnosis and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Inspection & Certification
Carry out periodic inspections and load testing as per regulatory requirements.
Ensure all lifting equipment is certified and records are up to date.
Liaise with third-party inspectors for statutory certifications.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all lifting operations comply with MME/UPDA regulations QCS and relevant international safety standards (e.g. LOLER ASME ISO).
Implement safety measures to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Prepare and update lifting plans risk assessments and method statements.
Technical Support & Coordination
Provide technical expertise for the selection installation and commissioning of lifting equipment.
Coordinate with project teams contractors and vendors to ensure equipment readiness.
Offer guidance to operators and rigging teams on best practices and operational procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate logs for maintenance inspections and certifications.
Prepare reports on equipment performance incidents and maintenance activities.
Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Licenses & Certifications: MME/UPDA License (Mandatory).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in lifting equipment operation inspection and maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment standards and regulatory requirements.
Expertise in inspection load testing and equipment certification.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
High commitment to safety and compliance.
Ability to manage multiple equipment fleets efficiently.
Effective leadership and coordination abilities.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Full Time
