Job Description
Job Title: Design Engineer- Primary (Substation)
Work Location: Abu Dhabi
Interview Location: Chennai
Experience: 6- 15 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design of HV AIS/GIS substations (up to 765kV) including SLDs GA drawings and equipment layouts.
- Select and size primary equipment (CBs CTs PTs isolators surge arresters) per IEC/IEEE and utility standards.
- Design grounding lightning protection and cable routing systems to ensure safety and compliance.
- Coordinate with civil secondary protection and external teams for design integration.
- Review vendor documents support procurement and participate in FATs and technical evaluations.
- Provide site support during construction and commissioning resolving design-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience: 6 years in substation design
