Senior Commercial Manager (12-month FTC)

Location:London

Work Pattern:Hybrid; we spend 2 days a week together in the office

Team Size:1 Direct Report

Please note this a 12-month Fixed Term Contract covering for one of our colleagues whilst they are on parental leave.

About the Role

Were looking for aSenior Commercial Managerto lead ourProtection Insurancechannel during a 12-month parental cover. This is a high-impact senior-level role at the heart of our Insurance Partnerships team; one of the most strategic and externally facing functions within the Group.

Youll be the driving force behind our insurer relationships commercial negotiations and pivotal initiatives. From crafting long-term channel strategy to mentoring team members and influencing senior partners this role offers breadth autonomy and the chance to create a tangible difference.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead Strategic Partnerships:Own relationships with our key insurance partners driving commercial growth and strategic alignment.
  • Build Channel Strategy:Define and implement the long-term vision for Protection Insurance balancing innovation with performance.
  • Drive Commercial Negotiations:Secure better rates and outcomes through high-value negotiations and contract management.
  • Optimise Performance:Analyse trading performance competitor positioning and customer journey conversions to improve results.
  • Deliver Growth Campaigns:Identify and lead initiatives that fuel channel and category growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate with Product Tech Marketing Finance and Compliance to align strategies and enhance customer experience.
  • Market Insight & Innovation:Use data and market analysis to anticipate trends and uncover new opportunities.

About You

  • Proven experience in senior commercial roles ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • It would be a significant advantage if you understand the protection space particularly in Life Insurance or Pet Insurance (or protection products in general).
  • Strong gravitas and resilience with proven results of when you have influenced senior partners and lead on complex negotiations.
  • Strategic problem solver with a commercial mentality and deep understanding of trading levers.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
  • Outstanding relationship builder and communicator.
