The Sales and Operation Planning team is responsible for the operational planning task related to S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) with stakeholders from both sales/marketing and operations departments. The team develops the optimal operational plan to place our merchandise with a variety of demand product size and inventory turns at numerous Fulfillment Centers (FC) that vary in function size and capabilities while creating the inbound/outbound forecast in collaboration with the technology team and the sales/marketing team. The Team manager (this position) will be responsible for creating the most effective plans as well as executing to the plan while building a strong S&OP team including hiring and developing team members.
Key job responsibilities a. / Creation of sales (outbound) and procurement (inbound) plan i. Information gathering on sales/ procurement plan from sales/marketing department and tech team ii. Trend analysis and forecast validation of sales/ procurement plan iii. Strategy development for sales/procurement optimization based on sales/ inventory turns/ inventory trend analysis b. /Creation and Execution of production plan by FC i. Analysis of production capability and the development of inbound/outbound plan based on the capability of each fulfillment center ii. Configure required system setting to execute to the production plan by FC c. / Support the launch of new fulfillment center i. Development of sales and operations plan required for the launch of new fulfillment center ii. PDCA Operations improvement based on PDCA cycle
This position will require the capability to coordinate with fulfillment centers sales/marketing team the other teams in supply chain/transportation team as well as the technology team responsible for supply chain systems. Thus the successful candidate should have advanced knowledge and experience on demand/supply planning logistics and basic knowledge on the information system and also business level communication skill in Japanese as well as English. Experience in developing/engineering Demand/supply Planning process in manufacture or retail industry is preferred.
This position is also responsible for managing the team resource as well as development and hiring of the team members.
