Were currently looking for two Financial Crime Analysts to join our dedicated Financial Crime team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and apply your investigative and analytical skills in a purpose-driven organisation where doing the right thing is at the heart of how we work.
What youll be doing
As a Financial Crime Analyst you will:
- Investigate internal suspicion reports across Principality Building Society including Commercial.
- Analyse large volumes of data to assess the detect financial crime risks.
- Provide expert advice to teams across the Society on financial crime risks policies and controls.
- Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks including document verification for customer onboarding.
- Use specialist screening and account monitoring tools to identify suspicious activity.
- Support complex fraud investigation in line with the Principality Fraud Response Plan.
- Prepare and submit reports to relevant bodies such as the Natonal Crime Agency (NCA) and Cifas.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Solid understanding of financial crime risks.
- Knowledge of Financial Services products (e.g. savings mortgages).
- Discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Understanding of risk management and a risk-based approach.
Experience:
- Previous experience in financial crime prevention or within Financial Services.
- Practical experience conducting investigations.
- Familiarity with submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the NCA or CIFAS.
