Position Overview:We are currently seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing bilingual speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders in school settings.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students speech language and communication skills in both English and the target language (e.g. Spanish Mandarin etc.).
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans to address students communication goals and objectives in their primary language and English.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups targeting areas such as articulation phonology language comprehension vocabulary development and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers paraprofessionals and other school staff to integrate speech-language therapy goals and strategies into students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents caregivers and other members of the educational team to provide updates on students progress therapy goals and recommendations for home practice.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques materials and technology to enhance students speech and language skills and promote generalization of skills across settings.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions assessments progress reports and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification or proficiency in the target language (e.g. Spanish Mandarin etc.).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working as a bilingual speech-language pathologist in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development disorders and therapy techniques in both English and the target language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students families school staff and related service providers.
  • Proficiency in assessment therapy planning and documentation.

Physical Requirements (Working in a School Setting):

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk and move around in various areas of the school facility. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students staff and parents both verbally and in writing. The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and may occasionally be required to bend stoop kneel or crouch. Additionally the employee must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day.
