Reporting into a Category Manager (Band D) the Category Buyer is responsible for daily strategic procurement operations within the aligned business area(s). The role will assist the Category Manager and potentially a Senior Category Buyer in delivery of Category strategies including planning and execution of strategic sourcing events through contract award and supporting lifecycle management. This will involve engaging and building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business within procurement and externally to identify business needs and then ensuring we understand the supply chains so we can offer the best solutions for National Grid.

Annual Salary:
Brooklyn and surrounding area: $84000-$99000
Waltham and surroudning area: $78000-$92000
Syracuse and surrounding area: $70000-$82000
Salary commensurate with experience and location.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
