SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS

Project MuSE

Project MuSE is a multi-year transformational education project. The scope of the project covers a wide range of opportunities for the under-privileged gifted students parents engagement community music industry-higher education collaboration and curriculum development such as the use of EdTech art-tech interdisciplinary learning cross-cultural studies and performance and pedagogical research. A key component of the project includes a new 5-6 year music programme that includes an in-school/after-school instrumental ensemble-based music training for primary school students.

The Academy is inviting applications for the following post who will be stationing at one of our participating schools:

School Coordinator ()

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clerical administrative logistical support and compile regular reports to projects Central Coordination Team and the related school teachers;
  • Serve as the primary contact person in a designated primary school to facilitate effective information exchange among key stakeholders of the project;
  • Communicate and coordinate between various parties to schedule events and ensure smooth execution of the project;
  • Manage activity enrollment maintain attendance log collect research data and undertake tasks related to participant and parent engagement;
  • Organise and oversee the implementation of in-school publicity promotional items and events ensuring alignment with the projects branding guidelines and marketing initiatives;
  • Assist in enhancing facilities and coordinating the purchase maintenance and inventory taking of new equipment; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the project and the school.

Requirements:

  • Completed post-secondary education with two years of work experience;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin);
  • Strong organisational communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level of self-motivation and accountability; and
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.

Additional Requirements to Appointee:

  • Appointee will be assigned to work in a designated primary school located in:
    • Yuen Long
    • Tin Shui Wai
    • Tuen Mun
    • Fanling
    • Kwai Hing
  • Appointee is required to work on Saturdays and Sundays.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Preference will be given to those who are immediately available.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
