Main responsibilities
- Lead new data collection both qualitative and quantitative on energy storage system capital costs and operational costs.
- Assist in the expansion of storage technology coverage through cost modeling of alternative and long-duration storage technologies.
- Develop original market research and analysis with a culmination in client deliverables and industry thought leadership pieces.
- Maintain and improve existing datasets and model outputs to ensure they are up to date and representative of current industry trends.
- Collaborate with peers across Wood Mackenzie to prepare material for conferences marketing services and editorial coverage.
Knowledge skills and experience
- Passionate about renewable energy with a strong knowledge of the sector and markets in the Americas. Previous experience with the energy storage industry is a plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities both qualitative and quantitative. Fluent with Excel and PowerPoint. Coding and programming experience (Python R etc.) is a plus.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to develop relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Intellectually curious and can think critically about the effect of a wider business landscape.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a global team.
- Strong organisational skills and an eye towards collaboration.
- Fluency with reading writing and communicating in English.
- A bachelors degree in related technology economics or business field. A masters or PhD degree is a plus but not required.
