Job Summary
Bear Robotics is a global leader in AI-powered autonomous service robots. As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving our growth in Japan by developing strategic partnerships identifying business opportunities and increasing revenue. This role is ideal for a high-performing individual with deep experience in business development particularly in the robotics technology or hospitality industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop business development strategies and directions based on an understanding of the AMR robot market environment products and services while creating new customer accounts for AMR robot implementation and building references.
- Strengthen existing partnerships and establish new ones to grow strategic accounts
- Evaluate and optimize current business models including pricing and go-to-market strategy
- Collaborate with executives to build long-term business development strategies
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and growth opportunities
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams for go-to-market alignment
- Lead contract negotiations with potential partners customers and stakeholders
- Partner with sales teams to increase revenue via new accounts and account expansion
- Work cross-functionally with engineering marketing finance and operations teams
- Develop KPIs and roadmap for first 90 days and beyond reporting to leadership
Required Qualifications
- 10 years in business development preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proven experience optimizing GTM strategies for the Japanese market
- Experience managing enterprise-level business partnerships
- Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Leadership experience managing and motivating teams
- Strategic and analytical mindset; adaptable to fast-paced environments
- Bachelors degree in business marketing engineering or related field
- Fluent in English and Japanese (spoken and written)
- Solid experience in B2B sales
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hardware and SaaS
- Startup experience preferred
- MBA or advanced degree
- Financial acumen and budget ownership experience
