NIBC is looking for a Business Controller Group Functions a position in the Performance Analytics & Planning team as part of CFO domain.
What will you do
As a Business Controller Group Functions you will be responsible for analyzing the performance forecasting the performance of Group Functions and come with pro-active advise to improve and steer the performance.
You will challenge the business deliver value-adding insights and support stakeholders in making data-driven decisions that lead to tangible improvements. You will work across all support units with a particular focus on theCTO domain but also include domains such as Finance Risk and HR. Your insights will help drive efficiency transparency and alignment between IT investments and business value.
- Point of contact for all finance related topics for the Business and coordination within the rest of the finance organization
- Monthly meeting with stakeholders in the various departments under your business control
- Present figures in CTO Management and CFO Management domains
- Review and challenge the budget in the Forecast Refinements (every quarter)
- Support during the budgeting process
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders in the CTO domain to develop and maintain financial models including TCO model (Total Cost of Owernship) to support investment decisions and cost transparency.
- Helping to translate well-functioning models into Power BI dashboards in collaboration with reporting and data teams to ensure insights are accessible visual and actionable for the business.
- Supporting strategic initiatives and transformation projects by delivering financial insights
- Review Strategic and Tactical Business cases
- Provide ad hoc reporting for the business

What do you bring
You are a seasoned professional with:
- Relevant experience in finance functions (4 years of work experience) preferably within the financial services industry
- Master degree in Business Economics Finance or Accounting
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles including financial analysis budgeting and cost management
- Pro-active business acumen and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to extract valuable insights from financial data
- Effective communication and the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
- Familiarity with financial reporting and the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports
- Ability to align financial strategies with the broader business objectives and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making
- Capability to perform scenario analysis considering various possible outcomes and their financial implication
- Expertise in assessing and managing financial risks to support informed decision-making
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work closely with the Business and various teams within the finance organization
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs to provide timely support for ad hoc requests
- Preferably experience in business control of IT domains
- Fluent in Dutch and English
