About the Role
This is a fixed term part time (20 hours a week) position which supports whnau engaged in the Family Court and Oranga Tamariki legal processes.
The purpose of this role is to support whnau with relevant needs pertaining to the Family Court and Oranga Tamariki legal processes. This position sits in the wider context of closing the gap in inequity within the justice and care and protection services. Engagement with the Family Court changes whnau dynamics a process which can be disruptive for whnau and tamariki. This position seeks to provide technical and sound support for Mori whnau struggling to navigate the legal system an area within which whnau are overrepresented.
We invite applications from suitably qualified experienced and motivated people who have a passion for seeing whnau thrive. Ideally you will have a lived experience of te ao Mori and experience in working with whnau in a community setting.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and years of experience.
