Job Description
Summary
This position supports the General Counsel with administrative tasks and basic legal analysis. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days in our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support under the supervision of General Counsel
- Assist with tracking and management of litigation including:
- Maintenance of litigation tracker.
- Communication with insurance counsel on litigation status.
- Assistance with response to discovery requests.
- Preparation of response to requests for disclosure of pending litigation
- Corporate entity formation management and dissolution; business license and similar applications.
- Assist with management of board meetings assembly and distribution of board packets and similar.
- Prepare and update inter-company predevelopment loan documentation.
- Manage consulting contract and NDA review.
- Prepared NDAs and consulting contracts and other simple agreements based on standard forms and construction contracts.
- Track legal fee costs.
- Provide other legal assistant support as requested by General Counsel.
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Strong sense of judgment and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Bachelors degree
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
- Familiarity with Diligent or similar software
