Job Description

Coleman Elementary is seeking a part-time Title I Academic Support Specialist to provide targeted instruction in math and literacy for students in need of additional academic support. This position focuses on small group and one-on-one intervention working closely with classroom teachers and support staff to help improve student achievement and close learning gaps. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction in math and literacy to identified with classroom teachers to align intervention with core and document student progress using assessment a positive and inclusive learning regularly with school staff regarding student needs and growth. Required Qualifications:Must hold a RI Elementary Teaching CertificateStrong knowledge of math and literacy instructional to work independently and manage a flexible to supporting diverse learners and promoting equity.
