Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven Backend Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Hong this role you will provide engineering support across all Animoca Brands projects collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust scalable and high-performance backend solutions. You will play a key part in designing developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our diverse portfolio of blockchain games and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain backend systems and APIs for multiple Animoca Brands projects.
- Collaborate with product managers frontend engineers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
- Ensure the scalability reliability and security of backend services.
- Optimize and refactor existing codebases for performance and maintainability.
- Integrate with cloud services (AWS RDS Redis Postgres) and manage cloud infrastructure as needed.
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve technical issues across various projects.
- Write clean well-documented and testable code.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in backend development and cloud services.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong backend engineering skills with hands-on experience in PHP Spring and Scala.
- Proficiency in cloud services: AWS Postgres RDS Redis.
- Experience with Golang and Python is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design microservices architecture and database management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Passion for blockchain gaming and digital innovation is a plus.
