Job Summary

Clarity are currently recruiting for a paediatric community nurse based in Meath

Responsibilities include

Provide nursing care to a child
Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
Competent in all tracheostomy care changing of ties suctioning and changing tube in an emergency situation
Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
Pressure area care
Medication Management
Seizure management
Care of a child with a disability
Manage enteral feeding and medication
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Manage seizures
Provide play and family support
Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
Promote abilities independence and safeguard the clients interests at all times
Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
Communicate effectively with the client family clinical team and MDT reporting on the clients clinical needs as required.
Maintain accurate and professional clinical note

The ideal candidate will have:

RGN/RCN qualified
NMBI registered
Must have a full drivers license and car
Previous experience in home care is an advantage
