Responsibilities
- Work towards and retain accredited carbon verifier status for self and company experienced in carbon services and related fields
- Lead / Support carbon verification projects for Singapore and regionally
- Support client relationships business development & sales enablement of current & new carbon services by providing technical sales support and proposal development
- Keep abreast of changing carbon landscape including policies or trends to inform business initiatives and to meet evolving market demands
- Planning and conducting verification activities including assessment of sampling methodology data and control activities conducting risk assessment and determining materiality and overall audit confidence level
- Represent company in relevant events webinars etc. as subject matter experts
Priority Criteria:
- Completed verification for Singapore carbon tax (at least 5 projects in past 3 years); OR
- Completed reasonable level of assurance for GHG projects (at least 5 projects in past 3 years e.g. Verra VCS Gold Standard GCC CORSIA); OR
- both scenarios adding up to 5 projects in past 3 years.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in related fields will be preferred with at least 3 - 5 years experience
- Auditor with ISO standard knowledge in carbon preferred
- Knowledge of industrial GHG related processes and measurement and the potential GHG emission sources in order to understand the ER and draw accurate and meaningful conclusions from observations facility documentation and relevant literature
- Knowledge of international GHG standards (i.e. IPCC guidelines on treatment of emissions sources GHG Protocol) and Singapores M&R regulations and guidance
- Experience in identifying misstatements and non-conformities in ER
- Effective communication of the verification process requests and findings to the client
- The ability to assess the scope of verification activities required in order to reach a reasonable level of assurance and assign sufficient resources to the verification team
- The ability to assess the skills of verification team members in order to assign appropriate verification activities and functions to team members and contract appropriate technical experts where necessary
- The ability to oversee and manage the verification process and reporting having sufficient knowledge to assess the quality and completeness of verification activities performed
- The knowledge to assess compliance with verification regulations and guidelines including activities performed by the verification team members including technical experts (if applicable)
- Candidates who have performed verification of Scope 1 GHG emissions on at least three (3) completed verifications at a reasonable level of assurance over the past four (4) years will be preferred
