This Position reports to:

What will you do
You are the hero who ensures our customers can operate safely and efficientlyon ships all over the world! One day youre working on a naval vessel in Den Helder the next youre in the port of Singapore. The ABB Marine & Ports division is divided into three areas:
Drives (speed control of motors / DC-grid)
Power (switchboards)
Automation (process control DCS and systems like IAMCS Power Management and Propulsion Control).
Your daily tasks include:
Performing service and maintenance on automation and control systems
Troubleshooting errors and faults in DCS and PLC systems
Providing technical supportboth on-site and remotely
Motivating colleagues and subcontractors to achieve the best results
Creating reports and documenting your work progress
Advising customers on how to improve their systems even further
Your team
Youll be part of a great team of 17 service engineers each specialized in one of the three disciplines. While youll often work independently teamwork is essential and collaboration is key. We take care of everything for youfrom logistics and hotels to a comfortable workspace abroad. Whenever theres a project you can count on your team to find the best solution!
Who are you
Youre not afraid of adventurein fact you see it as an opportunity to explore the world! Youre someone who thrives while working abroad loves taking responsibility and always seeks to bring out the best in yourself and your team.
You also have:
A bachelors degree in a technical field (e.g. Electrical Engineering Technical Informatics Industrial Automation or Maritime Technology).
Some experience in a technical service role preferably in the maritime industry.
Fluent English skills (spoken and written).
A valid drivers license (B).
Since this role involves frequent international travel youre comfortable being away from home for extended periods.
