You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailCity Capital are currently representing a market leading real estate finance lender who have retained our services to appoint an ambitious and proactive Finance Assistant to their busy finance and accounts department.
The Company
Our clients core business operates to support property developers and investors with access to debt to complete important real estate development and investment projects. This includes short term loans such as bridging and development finance alongside longer-term loans such as commercial mortgages and Buy to Let mortgages.
Our client has been operating with huge success in this market for c20 years and have grown substantially in this time. With further growth plans it is an exciting time for the business who are breaking records year on year for performance and growth.
The Department & Team
The finance and accountancy department is a key hub of the business covering all aspects of financial management planning and control & playing a major role in ensuring that growth has been achieved sustainably and with solid foundations.
You would join a range of Accountants Financial Controllers and Investment Professionals who operate to support the financial management and well-being of the group function as well as external partners such as investment partners.
This is a busy but dynamic team where you can except plenty of challenge and variety within the role.
Role Overview
As Finance Assistant you will have a diverse role and will work in support of senior management on key projects that drive the business forward.
This may include (but will not be limited to) supporting the management and delivery of purchase and sales ledger records undertaking reconciliation activities and assisting with reporting and audit processes.
Aside from the activity of supporting accounts payable receivable and reconciliations you are also likely to be heavily involved in broader financial projects that align with the short- and longer-term strategies of the business. This may include aspects such as assisting with the onboarding of new software tools & processes.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate 2-3 years (minimum) experience in a similar role within finance and/or accountancy. Individuals who understand double-entry bookkeeping would be sought after due to the group element of our clients business.
You will have a strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when delivering work. You will be highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks. You will be happy to work to deadlines and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate Requirements

Our client is ideally looking to pay up to c40k/45k as a basic salary for the ideal individual relevant to experience. Salary will be complemented by access to our clients favourable bonus structure too which will significantly increase year on year earnings.
This is also a role that comes with lots of career development and opportunity to progress where excellent performance is delivered. Our client are known for their strong and proven promote from within policy a policy which has been integral to their success and growth to date.
Due to this opportunities to grow in to more senior finance or accountancy roles may be prevalent internally as you develop and grow. So ambition will be key!
This role will be based in our clients fantastic London offices.
