Job Description
- Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church
- Degree in Music or equivalent and experience directing a choir
- Proficiency in piano organ singing and conducting.
- Deep knowledge and familiarity with the Roman Rite of the Catholic Liturgy
- Planning and providing music for one Saturday afternoon Mass (4:30 PM) and one Sunday Mass (9:30 AM).
- Directing and developing the parish choir
- Directing cantors
- Scheduling substitute organists when necessary
- Working collaboratively and appropriately with parish priest and/or his delegate
- Reports to Deacon Dan Darga Director of Worship
- Providing and/or organizing the music for funerals and weddings
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with volunteer choir members and cantors
- Computer and organizational skills
