Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Bellefontaine OH
Mary Rutan Hospital is actively seeking a dedicated locum OB Hospitalist Physician to cover open dates. This facility is well-equipped with 45 staffed beds alongside a 20-room emergency department and averages approximately 360 births per year. The practice offers a supportive environment with a call rotation of 1:4 on weekdays and weekends and operates under Meditech Expanse EMR for documentation and patient management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care for low-risk deliveries and manage OB ultrasound interpretations.
- Participate in 1:4 call rotation with an average of one delivery per day.
- Respond to emergency situations within a 30-minute timeframe when on call.
- Perform routine and complicated deliveries including C-sections and management of third and fourth-degree lacerations.
- Conduct patient consultations and ensure appropriate documentation in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and assist in developing a patient-centered care approach.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (ABOG or AOA-accredited residency)
- Minimum of 50 deliveries in the last 12 months with at least 5 being C-sections.
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Ohio Medical License (required).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- DEA registration (required).
