Job Description
Job Description: Locum Psychiatrist in Muskegon MI
Join a dynamic healthcare team at an inpatient psychiatric department in Muskegon Michigan. This facility offers a supportive environment with a focus on providing care for a variety of psychiatric disorders. The practice features a team of experienced professionals ensuring collaboration and excellence in patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Supervise advanced practice providers specifically psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Manage an average of 12 patients per day.
- Participate in the call schedule from 5 PM to 8 AM offering unrestricted call if available.
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Address a range of treatment disorders including anxiety affective disorders and psychotic disorders.
- Conduct involuntary commitments and apply necessary therapeutic techniques such as group therapy and restraint application.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Psychiatry (REQUIRED)
- Active Michigan medical license (REQUIRED)
- Current BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Availability to cover Monday to Friday for the specified dates (REQUIRED)
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Active Michigan License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
