You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailBurrow Global is seeking three experienced Electrical Site Safety Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Specialist for a 60-day on-site assignment in Orange TX. Candidates must be able to start immediately.
The ideal candidate will be a trained/authorized individual who implements LOTO safety procedures to control hazardous energy during equipment maintenance servicing and startup. This role is focused on preventing unexpected startups and accidents through proper application of locks and tags adherence to regulatory standards and leadership of comprehensive LOTO programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce LOTO procedures for electrical equipment during maintenance servicing and startup activities.
- Apply locks and tags correctly on energy sources ensuring compliance with established safety standards.
- Conduct LOTO assessments identify hazardous energy sources and verify de-energization before work begins.
- Verify and document proper isolation verification and re-energization procedures.
- Lead and participate in LOTO trainings toolbox talks and safety briefings for maintenance personnel.
- Review and update LOTO procedures to align with current regulatory requirements and site-specific practices.
- Collaborate with maintenance operations and safety teams to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform regular audits and inspections of LOTO compliance; report non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of LOTO activities equipment tag inventory and energy source verifications.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on LOTO standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Safety Lockout/Tagout Specialist or equivalent role.
- Trained/authorized in Lockout/Tagout procedures with strong practical knowledge of applying locks and tags.
- In-depth knowledge of LOTO regulatory standards (e.g. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 and related industry standards) and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to design implement and manage comprehensive LOTO programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with excellent documentation practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to train and coach others.
- Ability to work on-site in Orange TX for the duration of the contract; ability to travel if needed to support sites.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. OSHA HAZWOPER LOTO-specific training electrical safety certifications) are a plus.
