Job Description
Location: Gorinchem Netherlands or Brussels Belgium
What You Will Do:
As the Team Leader of Industrial Refrigeration Engineering you will spearhead a dynamic team of pre-sales and post-sales design engineers across Belgium and the Netherlands. Your leadership will drive the development and direction of the engineering team ensuring day-to-day management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor your team promoting growth and excellence in engineering practices.
- Team Management: Take ownership of daily team operations ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Project Oversight: Monitor assess and report on project status issues risks and activities to meet deployment schedules and objectives.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with sales leaders to ensure the pre-sales engineering team delivers high-quality designs and accurate cost estimates.
- Operational Alignment: Collaborate with operations leaders to identify post-sales engineering needs and align them with financial targets.
- Efficiency & Standardization: Drive tool and process standardization to enhance overall engineering efficiency.
- Profitability Focus: Ensure a strong focus on profitability and growth working proactively with procurement and operational colleagues to achieve cost certainty.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across functions (project execution sales procurement and product management) to ensure timely delivery and cost reduction.
- Resource Planning: Plan hire and develop team competencies to support business growth ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet productivity targets and cost absorption.
What We Look For:
Required:
- Masters degree in engineering.
- Proven experience in people management.
- Extensive experience in designing industrial refrigeration systems and turn-key installations.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
Preferred:
- Fluency in French.
- Demonstrated experience in leading transformative change initiatives.
- Background in field-based operations.
