Overview:
Senior-level HVAC Service Technician with a highly reputable and stable non-union mechanical company that is family oriented with a culture that values honesty integrity and teamwork.
The position is a full-time direct-hire opportunity in Columbus.
What Youll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and service repairs on commercial institutional and industrial HVAC systems
- Service RTU rooftop units (5-20 tons) air-cooled chillers low-pressure boilers and a limited number of commercial refrigeration equipment (walk-in coolers and freezers)
- Operate with a strong focus on safety proper equipment use and adherence to company protocols
- Apply basic automation controls knowledge to system operation and troubleshooting VAV boxes
- Train in ride-along orientation program to acclimate to company and iPad procedures before being assigned a company service van (Dayton and Columbus).
- Play key role within 6 months assisting Columbus crew in hands-on training and troubleshooting complex system issues
What Youll Bring
- Experience: Direct experience with HVAC installation troubleshooting repair and maintenanceofcommercial and industrial equipment.
- Certifications: Valid EPA certification (Type 1 and 2 required; Universal preferred). Certifications such as NATE or HVAC Excellence are highly valued but not mandatory.
- Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Education: Preference for candidates with formal HVAC schooling.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer service mindset. Must have critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Comfortable with heavy physical work and various weather conditions
Location: This position is based out of Columbus. We are seeking qualified technicians who reside in the immediate surrounding communities including: Dublin Westerville Gahanna Grove City New Albany Hilliard Reynoldsburg Delaware Circleville Springfield West Jefferson. Service routes are designed to be efficient and will be aligned with your home location.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 am 3:30 pm with a hour lunch. Overtime available but is not mandatory.
Compensation: Competitive starting wage ranging from $35 to $50 per hour depending on experience. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
