Job Summary Service Advisor

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers providing exceptional service while facilitating communication between the customer and the service department. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive services and repairs along with excellent sales skills to promote additional services and products.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally assessing their service needs.
  • Provide detailed explanations of required services and repairs to customers.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions service orders and vehicle history.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Stay updated on automotive technology trends and product knowledge to enhance sales efforts.

Qualifications

  • GM dealership experience.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales or as a service technician is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of auto body repair and air brake systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Proven ability in upselling services and products effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • A valid drivers license is required; additional certifications in automotive service are a plus.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to providing high-quality service.
