Job Description

AIR seeks a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to lead initiatives at the intersection between labor planning and supply chain planning. This leader will drive new ideas establish metrics solve problems based on data and implement solutions. They will conduct analyses to identify and recommend improvement opportunities for both new and existing processes standardize methodologies across businesses and lead alignment across organizations by leveraging business expertise and data.

The ideal candidate must deliver results and scale operations despite resource constraints by inventing and simplifying. Collaboration with tech teams operations process engineering and other business partners is essential. The SCM must anticipate future challenges innovate take calculated risks and optimize on a network-wide basis.

Key job responsibilities
Use data-backed analytics to solve complex problems while remaining customer obsessed

Partner with internal business teams including operations ground transportation finance research technology and engineering to deliver improved results

Work closely with research science teams to develop tools for scaling/automation of network configuration

Manage and coordinate project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment accepting ownership and accountability of the process

Work within time constraints to meet business critical needs (often managing multiple time-sensitive and high priority initiatives simultaneously) while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met

Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required using SQL as needed

Travel domestically up to 15% of the time to various facilities in the Amazon network


- 3 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 2 years of supply chain experience
- Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- 3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes project management and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
