Join us as an Operator for the Surfacing team in the Taranaki region.
We seek an individual with a Class 5 licence and a team player attitude to join our Surfacing team here in New Plymouth. Primarily your role would be that of a class 5 driver transporting our gear from site to site whilst also operating a chip truck spreading chip on site for the team. However we dont just seek a truck driver getting out of the truck and helping out on the ground where practical is also part of your role shovelling chip or helping mark out job sites with paper and tape.
In addition to the above you will:
Maintaining trucks and equipment in a presentable condition
Monitor truck maintenance - keep accurate timely and well organised records as required
Ensuring trucks and equipment comply with all transport regulations (i.e. Current RUC COF Rego)
Operating a loader in a stockpile regularly loading chip onto your truck whilst keeping stockpiles tidy and maintained.

Were looking for someone with:
Current Class 5 licence
W T R endorsement on licence
Dangerous Goods endorsement is advantageous
Minimum of 3 years practical heavy vehicle driving experience in either construction or surfacing
A safety-first attitude
Flexibility as you will be required to work out of town over the summer months
Eagerness to work in a fast paced environment ready to adapt to changes made on the fly
