Our client is looking for an Operations Director who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce supplement company ensuring optimal efficiency high customer satisfaction and sustained business growth. This role requires strategic leadership to manage and improve logistics supply chain customer service and overall operational functions while aligning with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing operational strategies to support the growth supplement business.
- Leading the operations team setting clear performance goals and aligning activities with business objectives.
- Collaborating with other departments (e.g. marketing sales product development) to ensure seamless operations.
- Managing end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement warehousing and inventory management.
- Implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels reducing costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet demand.
- Overseeing the order fulfilment process ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Optimizing shipping and logistics partnerships to reduce delivery times and costs while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring efficient return processes working with customer service and logistics teams.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities across operational functions to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Introducing and managing performance metrics to monitor productivity accuracy and service levels.
- Ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and industry standards especially those related to health and wellness products.
- Maintaining high standards for product quality and safety throughout the supply chain.
- Leading mentoring and developing the operations team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Managing recruitment training and performance evaluations within the department.
- Managing and optimising the operational budget including cost control and resource allocation.
- Working with finance teams to monitor expenses analyze operational data and generate performance reports.
- Overseeing the implementation and management of e-commerce and ERP systems to ensure smooth business operations.
- Collaborating with the IT department to ensure system integration and alignment with operational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Supply Chain or a related field (Masters preferred).
- 8 years of experience in operations supply chain management or logistics with a focus on the supplement/consumer goods industry.
- Proven experience in scaling operations and optimizing supply chain processes.
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using ERP systems e-commerce platforms and operational tools.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
