As a Support Worker in the Supported Independent Living (SIL) team youll walk alongside people in their day-to-day lives supporting them to build confidence make choices connect with others and live as independently as possible. Some days that means helping with personal care other days its going for a walk supporting at appointments or celebrating a small but powerful win.
But its not just about showing up its about stepping up. Youll work with people we support (and their whnau) to set meaningful goals and build plans to help them live their best lives. Its a proactive role one where youll be supporting people to take the lead in shaping their futures and thats what makes the mahi so special.
Were looking for the right people with the right attitude and well back you with the training and support to build the skills. Youll need to be committed to completing a Level 3 or 4 NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (if you havent already) and well be right there to help you succeed.
The work is real sometimes challenging always meaningful and youll never be doing it alone. If youre ready to make a difference and grow while doing it wed love to hear from you.
Multiple roles are available with both part-time (56 hours per fortnight Monday-Thursday) and casual positions on offer. Due to the nature of our work you need to be comfortable working split shifts and have a full NZ driver licence.
