High Point Universitys Business Office is seeking an Insurance Eligibility/Verification Assistant who will be responsible for verifying and determining the eligibility of insurance coverage for clients. This role involves working closely with our credentialing manager insurance providers healthcare professionals and clients to ensure accurate and timely insurance verification of clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree or relevant certification preferred.
Experience and Training:
- Proven experience in insurance administration healthcare or a related field is advantageous.
Knowledge Skills Ability:
- Communicate with insurance companies healthcare providers and clients to gather and verify necessary information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies procedures and regulations
- Assists patients with inquiries regarding their insurance coverage and eligibility
- Resolves discrepancies and issues related to insurance eligibility and coverage
- Prepares and maintains detailed records and documentation related to insurance eligibility
- Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure smooth processing of insurance-related transactions
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws regulations and company policies

- Manager of Clinical Revenue Operations Cycle
- Evaluation: Performance is evaluated based on the insurance verification data entered daily to ensure operational efficiency and financial performance across practice locations
