Job Description

Health Information Services Officer - Part-time 22-24 hours a week

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Service team.

As a Health Information Services Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Medical record retrieval
  • Provision of health information to internal and external clients
  • Filing of paperwork
  • Filing of medical records
  • Day to day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
  • Participating in performance improvement activities
  • Culling of medical records

The Geelong Clinic is a 73 bed Psychiatric Hospital offering a range of inpatient day programs and outreach services for individuals experiencing mental health problems. Located on the outskirts of Geelong within close proximity to spectacular coastal attractions the clinic has a number of accredited Psychiatrists supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team of nursing allied health administration and domestic services staff. Onsite parking available.

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
  • Ability to work within deadlines

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products eg. Excel
