Applications are invited for the following post in the Centre for Chinese Herbal Medicine Drug Development which is located in the Hong Kong Science Park.

IT Officer/Assistant ()
The appointee will provide technical support for the Centre including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Set up the hardware (computer iPad video access control cards) and software of IT-related systems including installation daily operation maintenance and safety issues;
- Be responsible for the maintenance of the website and online management system;
- Support different services and new development including smart Centre services;
- Travel to the Kowloon Tong campus to support the clinical teams when necessary; and
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in IT-related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience;
- Strong knowledge of IT services and applications;
- Experience in using the following technologies is preferred:
- web standards (HTML5 CSS JavaScript JQuery Ajax)
- programming languages (Java Objective-C Swift Python)
- data integration/API (databases REST JSON)
- Experience in using the following technologies will be advantageous:
- application with large data structures using NoSQL (ELK MongoDB)
- mobile IDE tools (React Native Vue Cordova)
- application of AI (chatbot deep learning Keras TensorFlow)
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills;
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated attentive to details and able to multitask; and
- The ability to work under tight schedules is essential and experience in a similar service environment would be preferred.
Candidates with a lower level of academic qualification/less experience may be considered for appointment as IT Assistant.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
