Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist - Reliever

Job Type: Reliever (6 months)
Location: Hybrid/Work From Home
Reporting to: Accounts Payable Manager

Job purpose:
You will be responsible for processing commission and refund ensuring timely and accurate payments to clients. The Accounts Payable Clerk will maintain accurate financial records assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

What will be your key responsibilities

  1. Ensure all client commission and refund payments are made accurately and on time
  2. Respond to client employees and supplier inquiries through calls and emails in a timely
    manner.
  3. Maintain accurate records of commission transactions and adjustments.
  4. Verify refund eligibility based on company policies and customer agreements.
  5. Work with AP team to assist in supplier and payment reconciliations
  6. Attend to client query via phone calls and emails
  7. Maintain and update vendor records in the accounting system.
  8. Assist with other accounts payable responsibilities
  9. Assist with G/L sub-ledger reconciliations.
  10. Uses various software applications such as Sage MS Office and Travel Box
  11. Reservation system
  12. Work with other departments and within the other responsibilities in Accounts to ensure accurate recording and control of the companys finances and information
  13. Help with month end responsibilities
  14. Consistently improve the efficiency of the department.
  15. Invoice discrepancy Management invoiced amount versus approved amount.

What are we looking for

  • With at least 1 year of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail oriented team player with a customer focus.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel would be an asset.
  • Uses initiative and has creative thinking for problem solving.
  • Ability to lead process improvement.
  • Experience with accounting and reservation systems.
  • Has a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in Night Shift.
