We are currently looking for a
Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. The role is based in Sintra reporting to our Senior Accountant based in Portugal. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person who can support our growth ambitions and add knowledge competence and team spirit.
Your key responsibilities
- Ensure proper document management namely reception classification posting and validation of accounting invoices and payments.
- Perform accounting transactions in the general ledger in accordance with statutory and Group policies.
- Perform reconciliation of customer and vendor current accounts as well as reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Keep accounting control documents organized following policies and procedures and complying with financial legal requirements.
- Create and maintain Masterdata suppliers according to the Group policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Assist in month/year-end closing activities.
- Ad hoc projects
We are looking for
- Degree in Accounting Business Management Economics or related areas.
- Minimum 1 year experience in accounting services or related industry
- Solid Accounting knowledge
- Good Excel skills
- Experience with SAGE X3 is a plus
- Ability to read write and communicate in English in a business setting
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Problem solving mindset and analytical skills
- Be a team-player.
