Role Summary

TAAC Group is looking for an individual who is highly organized detail-oriented and adept at problem-solving to join our team. As an Accountant the individual will support the finance department and be responsible for a variety of administrative and accounting tasks. The Accountant will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy efficiency and seamless execution of critical financial processes contributing directly to the overall financial health and stability of the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Process and record financial transactions accurately and efficiently including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records ensuring proper filing and organization.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Prepare and process invoices
  • Assist with handling vendor and customer inquiries related to invoices and payments.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger.
  • Assist with audits budget and tax preparations as needed.
  • Manage and reconcile employee and company expense reports.
  • Perform other administrative and clerical tasks to support the finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • Completion of an advanced degree or diploma is a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Wave)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
