Clinical Specialist Prosthetics
An opportunity has been created within the Ossur Asia Academy team for a Clinical Specialist in Prosthetics. This exciting new position will be responsible for the development and delivery of educational activities both internally for Ossur staff in Sales Marketing and Customer Service and externally within a range of forums mediums and design. The main goal of the activity is to educate on the features benefits and clinical outcome of Ossur solutions to underpin the continued growth of Ossur Asia.
Ossur Asia has recently updated its Academy areas in China and Korea (full workshop facilities) and Japan (Direct Socket facilities). These centers enable Academy activity for internal training and external customers.
In our diverse working environment English is the designated language for all business communications and operations.
Key Activities
Socket design for Transtibial and Transfemoral including traditional and Direct Socket techniques.
Application of Upper Limb Socket design.
The fitting of Upper Limb myoelectric and microprocessor knees and ankle.
Preparation and presentation of a range of educational activities for hands-on and online.
Support Sales activity with customers.
Clinical and technical support for Sales Marketing and Customer Service.
Working collaboratively with regional directors for Academy activity planning.
Organizational Structure
The position will be based in Asia (ssur Shanghai Tokyo or Seoul Office) and reporting to the Academy Director Asia.
Travel
As this is a regional position travel within Asia is expected at least 4 times per year.
In country travel is expected however activities will be predominantly located at the Shanghai Academy.
Essential Experience
A minimum of 7 years clinical experience in upper and lower limb prosthetics.
Clinically proficient in the application of socket design for both upper and lower limb prosthetics.
Ossur bionic solutions with socket design are frequently presented in Academy activity so an understanding of the clinical application of upper limb myoelectric microprocessor knees and ankle is .
Additional clinical experience with Ossur prosthetic solutions including socket systems liner solutions mechanical knees and feet.
Proven record of accomplishment with the development and presentation of educational activities in a range of forums.
Attributes/Qualifications
Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent.
Demonstrated history of continued professional development.
Ability to work respectively in an environment across many cultures and working in a collaborative manner with both internal and external parties.
Elevated level of written verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
Demonstrated work history of effectively and efficiently working in small teams.
Ability to work independently to achieve an agreed outcome.
