Job Description

The role of the Special Education Teacher is to provide students with the services as outlined in their IEP to support and instruct in the small group and inclusion setting and to perform tasks as a liaison for a group of students. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:*Prepare and maintain accurate records and analyze data on students in need of specially designed instruction as identified and outlined in their IEP..*Assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Plans by providing students with specially designed instruction in individualized or group settings.*Manage a liaison caseload and the associated responsibilities which include but are not limited to: IEP writing and all associated special education paperwork attend IEP meetings collect data to ensure implementation of goals and objectives and to ensure progress toward those goals meet with student and family as necessary meet with regular education teachers to provide consultation and support necessary needs of students complete.*Perform other related duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate.
