Positions are available as full-time or part-time tenure-track contracts. Flexible arrangements allowing combination with roles in industry particularly within wind energy companies are possible.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Qualifications:
As Associate Professor you must be responsible for the teaching of courses and as Senior Researcher you must contribute to teaching at the Department. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages and in time are expected to master both.
As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training. If you are applying for the senior researcher position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding a position as a researcher or postdoc. To be appointed as a senior researcher you must have completed a didactic/pedagogic education. If you do not have the necessary education then it is possible to complete this requirement within a period of two years of appointment.
You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:
Associate/assistant Professor
Senior Researcher/researcher
Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
Full-time or part-time.

About the Department:DTU Wind and Energy Systems has led wind energy research teaching and commercial activities since the 1970s. With approximately 400 staff it is the worlds largest public research institute dedicated to wind and energy systems transition. About the Section:The Systems Engineering and Optimization section within the department focuses on applying systems engineering principles to the design and operation of complex energy transition systems. The sections 25 members conduct research on wind farms hybrid power plants and emerging technologies utilizing multi-disciplinary design optimization systems engineering uncertainty quantification and machine learning to accelerate the green transition.
