Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dedicated team!
Responsibilities:
- Instituting and promoting continuous integration/delivery practices within the development team
- Working with hosting and/or cloud providers to set up application environments and enable smooth and efficient application deployments
- Developing scripts and making use of continuous integration tools to automate build software release and application deployment
- Provisioning and managing servers virtual machines application containers software licenses and other related resources for the development team
- Conduct system level security scans harden system and application platform
- Manage the operations of cloud infrastructure and application services in production environment.
- Ensuring infrastructure and services meet compliance standards (e.g. CIS Benchmarks NIST frameworks) while driving automation standardization and best practices.
- Documenting implementation and maintaining technical documentation to ensure clarity and consistency for future reference
Requirements
- Passion for automation standardisation compliance and best practices
- Familiarity with Python ELK Docker NGINX Grafana and Kubernetes.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Terraform Ansible etc).
- Experience with common AWS resources (Load balancers CloudFront EKS ECS Security Hub etc).
- Experience with relevant CI tools/technologies such as TeamCity Github Gitlab
- Experience with system administration and scripting on Unix Linux and Windows environments
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working closely with Agile development teams
- Experience with implementing cost-optimization strategies through cloud-native best practices will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar role
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Red Hat Certified Engineer CKA) will be an added advantage
- Ideally someone who has managed production system and with best practice and compliance in mind.
