Since 1943 Field Studies Council has created inspiring outdoor learning opportunities for all ages from school children to adult learners helping everyone connect with and care for the environment.

What youll be doing

As one of our Casual Hospitality & Catering Assistants youll be responsible for keeping our visitor spaces clean tidy and ready for guests. This includes:

  • Cleaning and preparing bedrooms bathrooms and communal areas
  • Making beds replenishing towels and restocking tea/coffee facilities
  • Keeping public areas tidy safe and welcoming
  • Setting up the dining room for mealtimes
  • Supporting our kitchen team with food preparation and service
  • Helping keep dining and refreshment areas clean and stocked

Our centre is always busy so we value team members who are happy to help wherever theyre needed.

Where youll be working

At our Field Studies Council Blencathra Centre every working day begins with breathtaking views across the Lake District. Perched on the slopes of Blencathra the centre welcomes thousands of visitors each year many experiencing this World Heritage Site for the very first time.

Youll join a passionate supportive team in a truly inspiring setting where lunch breaks can mean a walk on the fellside and your work helps others connect with nature.
