Introduction

Assistant Shop Manager

2 x Permanent Part-Time Roles

About the role Krero m te tranga

These are sole responsibility roles overseeing a busy store. Were seeking someone with strong retail experience preferably in a retail or secondhand shop setting. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a store either as a duty manager or 2IC and should be comfortable working independently making decisions and handling shop opening and closing duties.

We have two permanent part-time roles available:

  • 1 x 19 hours per week across Sundays Mondays and Tuesdays
  • 1 x 13 hours per week across Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays

In this role you will:

  • Provideexcellent customer service
  • Promote/drivesales
  • Open and close the shop
  • Utilise your solid cash management and till management experience
  • Assist with shop presentation/displays
  • Undertake stock management/preparation and control as per training
  • Supportvolunteers adherence to our Health Safety and Wellbeing practice

Who are we looking for M wai te mahi nei

To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in cash handling cash management and retail shop operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in a retail sales environment
  • Experience working as or with volunteers
  • Skills in dealing with customers
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to work as a team member of Red Cross
  • Self-motivation and a positive and friendly approach
  • Reliability and work with integrity
