Job Overview/Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically driven Sr. Medical Information Specialist to serve as a primary resource for responding to unsolicited medical inquiries and supporting internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will leverage scientific expertise to contribute to medical information resources literature research and communication strategies while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals patients/consumers field staff and internal business partners.
Serve as a primary point of contact for medical information inquiries.
Maintain medical information resources and support development of medical content for assigned products/therapeutic areas.
Research analyze and summarize scientific literature related to marketed and investigational products competitor compounds and relevant disease states.
Contribute to compendia strategies and reporting of medical information metrics to stakeholders.
Ensure medical accuracy of advertising promotional and scientific exchange materials in collaboration with Medical Information Managers and Medical Directors.
Provide scientific support at medical conferences and for internal ad hoc projects.
Manage intercompany literature resources and monitor literature for potential adverse events reporting findings per safety protocols.
Primary Skills:
Strong expertise in medical writing and scientific communication.
Proficiency in literature research and data analysis.
Familiarity with FDA guidances on scientific exchange.
Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skills.
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint Veeva and CRM systems.
Proficiency in technical analytical and digital tools to enhance efficiency.
Prior experience supporting medical conference activities.
Qualifications:
Advanced healthcare degree or biomedical training (PharmD RPh RN) required.
Up to 2 years of relevant medical information or related industry experience.
Strong knowledge of FDA guidances regarding medical information and scientific exchange.
Demonstrated expertise in developing scientific communication materials.
