Job Summary
The Senior SAP FTM/Costing Support Analyst will be responsible for IT production support
using the ServiceNow ticketing system ensuring efficient ticket flow management prompt
issue resolution and high customer satisfaction. During enhancements rollouts and
continuous improvement projects the analyst will play a key role in optimizing FTM/Costing
processes within SAP ECC environments (North America Asia & Europe) & global SAP
S/4HANA environment working closely with regional / cross-functional teams to enhance
Finance Controlling Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Assets Banking and system
integration. The role also focuses on leveraging SAP Fiori apps for improved user experience
implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline procurement tasks and driving
process optimization through digitalization. The ideal candidate should have a strong
expertise in SAP S/4HANA FTM/Costing functionalities integration with other modules and
the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to drive efficiency and process
enhancements.
Scope of Responsibilities
1. SAP FTM/Costing Solution Design & Configuration
Support FTM/Costing functional design configuration and deployment in SAP ECC &
S/4HANA environments.
o Hands-on expertise in SAP Finance (FI) Controlling (CO) Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR) Asset Accounting (AA) Bank Accounting and Treasury &
Risk Management (TRM).
o Design and configure General Ledger (GL) Cost Center Accounting (CCA) Profit
Center Accounting (PCA) and Internal Orders (IO) to align with financial reporting
structures.
Configure Financial Closing (SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting Financial Statement Versions
and Period-End Closing Processes).
Define and optimize Accounts Payable & Receivable Cash & Liquidity Management Bank
Reconciliation and Treasury Operations.
Ensure alignment with the global SAP S/4HANA FTM template while accommodating local
statutory tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
Expertise in integration with S/4HANA Central Finance (CFin) SAP Cash Management and
SAP Treasury & Risk Management (TRM).
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Integration
Work closely with Order-to-Cash (OTC) Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Demand to Supply (DTS)
Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Global Trade Services (GTS) teams for
seamless end-to-end financial execution.
Ensure integration with SAP MM SD and Asset Management (AM) modules for accurate
financial postings and reconciliations.
Collaborate with Treasury Tax and Compliance teams to ensure accurate financial
reporting IFRS/GAAP adherence and SOX compliance.
Support integration with external banking interfaces SWIFT payments and Electronic Bank
Statement (EBS) processing.
Enable real-time financial insights and analytics using SAP Fiori SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
and Embedded BW/BI Reporting.
3. Business Process Advisory & Continuous Improvement
Act as a key advisor to business stakeholders translating financial requirements into
scalable SAP solutions.
Identify opportunities for automation AI-driven predictive insights and analytics to
improve financial processes.
Research and implement SAP best practices industry standards and financial process
improvements.
Drive cost optimization initiatives leveraging Process Mining and Intelligent Robotic
Process Automation (iRPA).
Enhance SAP Fiori-based UI for financial transactions ensuring user-friendly interfaces and
process efficiency.
4. Production Support & Issue Resolution
Serve as an escalation point for SAP FTM-related incidents conducting root cause analysis
and implementing permanent resolutions.
Maintain application maintenance processes and SLAs for issue resolution and minor
enhancements.
Troubleshoot document splitting intercompany postings asset accounting depreciation
runs and tax calculation discrepancies.
Use SAP OSS Notes Debugging and Tracing tools to identify and resolve performance and
transaction issues.
Monitor and optimize financial workflows approval processes and reconciliation reports.
5. Change Management & Documentation
Manage SAP FTM-related Change Requests in SNOW and ensure proper testing &
documentation for review and approval byat the global Change Advisory Board (CAB).
Ensure all financial process changes system configurations and enhancements are well-
documented and adhere to governance standards.
Participate in and represent Change Requests in the global Change Control Board (CCB) as
required.
Maintain compliance with IFRS GAAP SOX local tax regulations and financial auditing
standards.
Document functional specifications user stories and test scripts for enhancements.
Collaborate with development teams to implement and test SAP Business Technology
Platform (BTP) services and ABAP developments (BAPIs BADIs Enhancement Framework
User Exits SAP Workflow Adobe Forms and Smart-Forms).
6. Testing Deployment & Audit Support
Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) integration testing and cutover planning
for SAP FTM implementations rollouts and enhancements.
Assist the Test Automation team in documenting the process steps in the test scripts.
Support internal and external audits ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Execute data migration strategies (SAP Migration Cockpit LSMW IDOCs BAPIs) for
financial master data bank details and open transactions.
Ensure seamless go-live transition and Hyper-care support for new implementations.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in finance engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
12 years of hands-on experience in SAP FTM/Costing in an SAP S/4 HANA global
environment.
Proven experience in Finance and Controlling and strong Integration with other S4 core
modules is preferred.
Hands-on experience in at least two full life-cycle global SAP S/4 HANA implementation
and/or rollout support is preferred. Strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 is also considered
valuable.
